Why does Optify require permission to access my Google Calendar?

Optify requires permission to "see and download any calendar you can access using your Google Calendar" to determine your availability and prevent scheduling conflicts effectively. This access ensures a seamless scheduling experience for both coaches and their clients, eliminating overlapping bookings and unavailable slots.

How is my calendar data accessed and used by Optify?

  • Optify can view times marked as busy and times marked as open exclusively on the calendar(s) you have integrated. It does not allow you to access any other calendars.

  • Your non-Optify appointments remain confidential; clients only see your available time slots for scheduling.

  • Optify does not download or store any information from your calendar. Your calendar data is solely stored within your Google Calendar itself, accessed through an API that determines your availability.

Will Optify access my calendar in any other way?

No, Optify will never access your calendar beyond the described method above.

What if I choose not to integrate my calendar with Optify?

If you opt not to integrate your calendar, your clients won't be able to schedule with you automatically. You'll need to coordinate meeting times with your clients, create meeting invites, update them as schedules change, and manually enter meeting dates and times into the platform before marking meetings complete.

Please note that some providers may require coaches to integrate their calendars. If you are not sure whether your company requires it, contact your System Administrator or Program Manager.
