The dropdown displays the sponsor organizations that have already been entered for your organization.
Add a New Sponsor Organization
If the correct sponsor organization does not appear in the dropdown:
Enter the sponsor organization’s complete name.
Review the spelling, capitalization, and spacing.
Add the new organization.
Save your changes.
Before creating a new entry, search the dropdown carefully to confirm that the sponsor organization does not already exist under a similar name.
Update Duplicate or Inconsistent Sponsor Names
Optify does not automatically combine sponsor organizations that may refer to the same company. For example, the following entries would be treated as separate sponsor organizations:
ABC
ABC Company
ABC Company, Inc.
To standardize the sponsor organization associated with a program:
Navigate to Program Design.
Open the program you want to update.
Select Edit Overview.
Open the Sponsor Organization dropdown.
Select the sponsor organization name your team has chosen to use consistently.
Save your changes.
Repeat these steps for any other programs using a duplicate or outdated variation.
Best Practices
To maintain consistent sponsor information:
Search for an existing sponsor organization before adding a new one.
Agree on a standard naming convention within your organization.
Use the sponsor organization’s complete name whenever possible.
Avoid abbreviations unless your organization uses them consistently.
Check spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and spacing before creating a new entry.
Update older programs that use duplicate or inconsistent sponsor names.
Consistent sponsor organization names help keep program information and reporting accurate and organized.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to update my existing programs?
No action is required. Your existing sponsor organization information will remain in place and will appear in the new searchable dropdown. However, reviewing existing entries can help you identify and correct duplicate or inconsistent names.
Will Optify automatically combine duplicate sponsor organizations?
No. Optify will not make assumptions about whether differently named organizations are the same company. Program Managers can update the applicable programs and select the preferred sponsor organization name.
Can I search by a word that is not at the beginning of the organization’s name?
Yes. The dropdown supports keyword searching. For example, searching for “Central” can return an organization with “Central” elsewhere in its name.
What if the sponsor organization is not listed?
Enter the new sponsor organization after confirming that it does not already exist under another spelling or naming variation.
Can Optify provide a list of the sponsor organizations associated with our programs?
Yes. Contact the Optify Customer Experience team if you would like help reviewing the sponsor organization names currently associated with your programs.
