What is Maya?

Maya is an AI coach that you can use at any time during your program for support, reflection, accountability, and continuous learning between meetings with your human coach. You can bring any real-time situation to Maya, and she will help you work through it similar to how a human coach would. She is intentionally non-directive, and will mainly ask questions to help you gain clarity and find solutions to the challenges you bring. She will get to know you over time so can build on previous conversations and help you on your development path.

How you can use Maya

  • Bridge sessions with your human coach—reinforce insights and deepen thinking.

  • Boost self-awareness and resilience by facilitating meaningful reflection, gently.

  • When you need some coaching in the moment and your human coach isn't available.

  • When you want a secure, confidential place to process what's going on for you as a leader.

Sample Prompts for Your AI Coaching Chat

Between your coaching conversations, you can use Maya to explore challenges, prepare for upcoming discussions, or reflect on recent experiences. Maya uses reflective intelligence—smart, human-like questioning that sparks insight rather than giving instructions. It adopts a purely non-directive approach, encouraging self-reflection and autonomy rather than delivering advice.

There are myriad ways Maya can help. Feel free to explore! Here are a few examples:

FAQ

Can Maya replace my coach?

No. Maya is designed to complement your coaching, not replace them. It supports your growth between sessions by prompting further reflection and exploration, and providing immediate support when needed.

What topics can Maya handle and not handle?

Maya is designed to support leadership growth and development but is not a substitute for professional human support. If Maya detects that a challenge may be beyond its scope—such as those better addressed by a human coach, therapist, or other qualified professional—it will recommend that you seek support from the appropriate resource.

Why won’t Maya give me direct advice?

Maya takes a non-directive coaching approach, asking thoughtful questions to help clients uncover their own insights and solutions. Research consistently shows that people are more committed to solutions they discover themselves, making them more likely to follow through and create lasting change.

When should I use Maya?

You can use Maya anytime—before a meeting to plan your approach, after a coaching session to reflect, or whenever you feel stuck and need a thought partner.

Can I restart a conversation?

Yes. Your conversations with Maya are saved so you can revisit them later for continued reflection and follow-up.

Can I have conversations on more than one topic?

Yes. You can have multiple conversations on different topics that you can go back to and continue at any time.

Who can see my conversations?

Your conversations with Maya are private and can only be viewed by you. No one else has access to your chat history. Please see the Privacy page of AICoach.chat, which powers Maya, for further information.

What if I’m not sure what to ask?

Simply share what’s on your mind—Maya will guide the conversation from there.
